Red Suga

Red Suga arrived at KC Irving Regional Centre on June 28 at around 8:45 pm. To Suga and the Crew’s surprise, a crowd had gathered at the front of the center, and proceeded to run down the hill in a huge wave as the limos reached the side back entrance! Red Suga shook hands with his fans as he entered the building and ran backstage. The show started at 9 pm with the beautiful and talented MaryJane Dance Crew of Fredericton, NB. Red Suga then hit the stage with “Ain’t Nothin’ Like It” in front of approximately 300 screaming fans. Fredericton’s DJ Nazty Naz of CKTP 95.7 FM The Beat! along with Bathurst’s EhJay Sweet and Fredericton’s Mikey Shaw hyped the crowd. The stage was never empty throughout the show; and Suga and the crew performed to a pumped crowd!
The concert lasted approximately two hours with features by EhJay Sweet, Mikey Sha, AnaPhylactic, and MO3. B-boys Against All Odds from Fredericton amazed the crowd with their breakdance moves; and Bathurst’s The B-Kids! gave a surprise guest performance!
Teddy Bears, plush fish, t-shirts, glowsticks, and hats were given out, as well as cd’s from MuchMusic Video Dance, and cd cases and hats from CBC television and radio. Charles Theriault and Jean Louis Paulin filmed the exciting event, along with Gerry McGuire and CBC Television.
The concert was a huge success, selling most tickets that night at the door. Suga and the crew signed autographs and took pictures after the show. Thanks to all those who met with Red Suga and the Crews!
